Overview of the role: Staff Accountant
- Maintain and reconcile assigned balance sheets accounts monthly and entering journal entries
- Assist with posting GL reclassifications
- Reviewing monthly GL expense details with managers
- Establish agreement and understanding of the GL activity prior to invoicing each month and understanding and reviewing allowable reimbursable costs
- Assist the team on daily projects related to both accounts payable and accounts receivable as workflows and demands shift
Preferred Qualifications: Staff Accountant
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP), and a general understanding of banking procedures and related activities
- Keen eye for detail and a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of non-profit/restricted fund accounting a plus
